Delta Academy - Monthly Mentoring
The Delta Academy is a unique program designed for young African American girls ages 11-14. The Delta Academy's theme " The Transformation of Me-Knowing Me, Developing Me, and Preparing Me" is intended to reflect the current issues and trends of middle-aged girls. The Sacramento Delta Academy's Mission is to shape balanced young women by focusing on proficient literacy, character development, healthy life choices and service learning. Through the use of interactive activities and field trips, young women are placed in a positive and encouraging environment to help them discover their potential to endless possibilities.
The goals of the Academy are to enhance or spark interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers where minority women are scarcely represented, and to provide support and mentoring to girls at a time when academic engagement and agency are critical to their future success.

Delta GEMS - Youth Empowerment
Delta GEMS (Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully) was created over 21 years to "Catch the Dreams" of at risk, girls aged 14-18. Delta GEMS framework is composed of five major components (Scholarship, Sisterhood, Show Me the Money, Service and Infinitely Complete) forming a road map for college and career planning. The goal of the GEM Program is to instill the need excel academically, to provide tools that enable girls to achieve high levels of academic success, to assist girls in proper goal-setting and planning for their futures and to create compassionate, caring and community minded young women and actively involve them in community service and advocacy opportunities.
1913 Scholarship Matters - Annual Program
The Sacramento Delta Foundation, Incorporated is committed to supporting academic excellence, and to assisting young people to complete their higher education goals. The Foundation awards annual high school scholarships to graduating seniors attending high schools in the Greater Sacramento Area to assist them to attend community college or a four year college or university. High school seniors from under-represented groups seeking scholarships are invited to submit an application, and must meet the stated minimum requirements.
Each year, from 4 to 10 students are selected and awards disbursed based on demonstrated academic achievement, community involvement and financial need. We also support scholarships for single heads of households who are attempting to complete their college education for The Foundation has partnered with the Sacramento Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance Scholarship group, PART (People and Resources Together).

Delta Youth State - Social Action Activity
Sacramento Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority continues its public service and fundraising activities along with developing successful programs that became a blueprint for programs that were adopted on the national level. Delta Youth State was born as part of Delta Days at the California state capitol, and officially became a part of the National Delta Social Action Agenda in 1991. The Chapter also developed and hosted a speed-mentoring event for teenage girls, which developed into the Delta Teens program that later evolved into what is now known as the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy Program.
